Bushland Programmes

Everlasting Concepts provides a two module programme which collects and compiles detailed baseline data to ensure local biodiversity is preserved, maintained and monitored in the proposed landscapes.

Environmental assessments for urban developments are often restricted to legislation requirements and development approvals. Everlasting Concepts Bushland Programmes encompass all available biodiversity and statutory information from the proposed development. This allows the urban developer to have further options to preserve the best assets, locations and high quality bushland.

Everlasting Concepts Bushland Programmes entail:

Bushland Programme 1 - provide a gap analyses and synopsis for ‘best practice' environmental and social outcomes for future landscape and retained bushland programmes.

Programme 1 includes desktop research and brief on-site surveys. These investigations identify preliminary iconic features and local land forms, flora for bushland recycling opportunities and possible iconic species, fauna management programmes and risk analysis.

Bushland Programme 2 - provides a more extensive and detailed analysis complemented by in-depth site investigations. These include the recommendations from Bushland Programme 1, threats to short and long term outcomes, establishment of boundaries, and a detailed flora and fauna assessment for future landscaping and growing opportunities. These detailed assessments include fauna management programmes during the clearing programmes.

The Plant Palette focuses on species derived from the flora listing with an understanding of which species have unique forms to the local area, and are adaptive to horticultural methods, propagation techniques and landscape processes. This palette is the basis for all of the future landscapes and can be used for education programmes. Plants selected assist with creating a ‘sense of place'. The colours and forms of the plant species chosen enable them to become identified as the local key species for the locations or areas.

Front Yard Package and Display Homes Plant Palettes are also available on request.

These Bushland Programmes are an important element in supporting environmental statutory agreements for urban developments and providing a sustainable environmental connection to the community. This connection has been identified as an important element to community health.

Information collated assists with future development marketing, interpretive signage for community programmes and identifying the local ‘sense of place'.

Partnerships are developed during these bushland programmes to assess the impact on the environment due to approved urban development clearing. This impact needs to incorporate adaptive management programmes to ensure the survivability of the environment.
